Serena Williams laughs off the idea of retirement as she steps out for Advertising Week New York in chic black and white bodycon dress
She’s an ace on the tennis court.
And it doesn’t look like Serena Williams is ready to retire any time soon.
Asked when she’ll be ready to hang up her racket while appearing at AdWeek’s Annual summit in New York on Tuesday, the world-class athlete said she’ll ‘transfer out, you know, in 20 years, not anytime soon.’
Inside the conference Serena sat down with Verizon’s Guru Gowrappan. Williams works with Gowrappan as chair of Verizon Media Group’s board of advisers.
In addition to talking retirement, the star opened up about the types of businesses she’s interested in investing in via her new venture capital firm.

The 37-year-old mother of one said she was ‘really interested in technology and even more so, founders,’ adding that she is ‘really focus[ed] on female founders.
She went on to mention brands like Daily Harvest, Lola, and Colugo as companies she ‘loves.’
Serena was in full fashionista mode when she stepped out, showing off her terrifically toned stems while sporting a figure-hugging long-sleeve dress.

She accessorized with a delicate chain necklace and several diamond rings while black heels with chained ankle-straps completed the look.
Serena was glowing, wearing her ombre locks down in curls.

Earlier in the day the star cut a far more casual figure as she arrived to the event.
The wife of Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian balanced tough and stylish vibes while sporting a see-through shirt tucked into a pair of floral patterned trousers.
She rounded out the look with conbat boots and a-encrusted watch.

She is also the founder of her own venture capital firm, aptly called Serena Ventures.
When she’s not being a boss, Williams is mom to two-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian.
