The Mar. 20 SmackDown is currently advertised for Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. It probably won’t actually take place there, however. Social distancing efforts to halt the spread of COVID-19 will likely mean a second straight Friday night at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
Wherever it takes place, and whether or not there are any fans in attendance when it does, the show is set to feature Roman Reigns and Goldberg signing the contract for their Universal title match at WrestleMania 36.
When and wherever this year’s ‘Mania takes place, of course.
It’s still set for Sun., April 5 in Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium, but most indicators are that won’t be the case by the time we get to next Friday.
Roman Reigns already declared “He’s Next” and all that’s left is to sign on the dotted line for a WrestleMania showdown with Goldberg.
The first interaction between these two warriors featured very few words but set the stage for what promises to be an epic Universal Championship clash on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
What’s in store this time as The Big Dog and Goldberg come face to face on the blue brand?
