Cristiano Ronaldo Twitter Thread Reveals ‘Craziest Projected Career Records’ He Could Break

Cristiano Ronaldo remains on course to break several different records before he calls it time on his illustrious playing career, according to a fan’s Twitter thread.
The 35-year-old Juventus superstar has put in a strong showing for his club this season before Serie A was suspended due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.
But a Twitter user, Silver, has compiled a thread with the ‘craziest projected […] career records’ that Ronaldo is still on course for shattering.
The Portugal captain could become the first player to hit 200 caps for his national team, with Ronaldo currently sitting on 164 appearances.
Silver pointed out that Ronaldo could reach the milestone should he make at least nine appearances for Portugal per year, which would take him up to the Euro 2024 competition.
Another feat includes the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star breaking Pele’s all-time goalscoring record of 757.
Ronaldo has scored a whopping 725 times — five more since the thread was produced — and only needs 33 goals now to surpass the legendary Brazilian’s record.
Posted below are the other records that Ronaldo could break before he retires from football.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s craziest projected (On track) career records.
A THREAD
Firstly appearance based Records
Being the first to hit 200 caps with the national team, he is on 164, and would need 36 caps to hit 200, which is an average of 9 a year, if he plays until 2024 Euro.

He’ll be fought tooth and nail by Sergio Ramos, who’s currently on 168 caps. Let’s see who of these 2 legends gets there first.
2- Hitting 200 appearances in the Champions league, he has 168 and would need 8 appearances in the next 4 seasons to get there.

Secondly: Goal records
1- The highest goalscorer EVER is at 757 goals and held by none other than Pele, only senior team games.
Cristiano is on 720 and needs 38 goals to break the record, which he should do in the beginning of the 20/21 season.
— Silver (@silvervibe95) January 28, 2020
2- 500 goals in the top 5 leagues. He is on 433 and needs 67 goals to break the record, which is an average of 17 goals in the next 4 seasons.
3- Record goalscorer for NT. He’s on 99 and the record is 109. Needs 11 to break the record, and should get it in the 20/21 season.
— Silver (@silvervibe95) January 28, 2020
Iranian Ali Daei is the current record holder with 109 goals, what makes this so special, is that Cristiano is doing it IN EUROPE.
3- 150 goals in the Champions League. He is on 128 and needs 22, which is an average of 5.5 goals in the next 4 seasons. Phenomenon.
— Silver (@silvervibe95) January 28, 2020
4- 200 goal contributions in the Champions League, currently on 174. 128 goals and 46 assists.
5- 300 career assists, currently on 251, which is an average of 12 assists for the next 4 years, probably the hardest record.
— Silver (@silvervibe95) January 28, 2020
6- 1000 career g+a, currently on 971. 29 to go, should be reached soon.
7- 100 goals for Juventus, currently on 48, 52 to go, which is an average of 26 in all competitions for the next 2 seasons. Crazy.

Thirdly: Collective Records.
1- Champions League #6. Would make Cristiano tied with Real Madrid legend Paco Gento with the number of 6 European Cups.
2- Euro #2 Would make him tied for the most number of Euro’s (with Spain and some Germany players.
