The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are looking for a personal assistant and deputy personal secretary. Both the roles, advertised on the Royal Household website, are maternity cover.
The personal assistant “facilitates the smooth coordination of TRH’s official and private arrangement”.They will be responsible for wardrobe requirements and budgets.
The successful candidate will be discrete with strong management and communication skills.
The deputy personal secretary supports the Cambridges’ personal secretary in the “smooth running” of their office. Duties include diary management, arranging meetings and preparing for engagements.
The deputy personal secretary role also involves administrative tasks, such as drafting correspondence, maintaining databases and filing.
The royal couple are looking for someone with previous secretarial and administrative experience.
Both roles are based at Kensington Palace, the Cambridges’ official London residence. The maternity cover positions come amid speculation William and Kate could have baby number four.
They are already parents to Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and three-year-old Prince Louis. Speaking earlier this year, royal expert Duncan Larcombe said he “wouldn’t be surprised” if the Cambridges have another child.
He told OK! magazine: “I don’t think Kate and William have ever ruled out the possibility of baby number four.
“Their children really bring out the best in them and Kate is a natural mother and very doting with children. “With Kate, despite her focus on her royal duty, her family still come first.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if they decided on another baby.” Royal author Katie Nicholl added: “Kate has made no secret that she wanted a fourth baby but William has always been content with three.”
