Serena Williams’s husband, Alexis Ohanian, is getting seriously flirty on Twitter. On Friday, as the nation anxiously awaited the results of the U.S. presidential election, the Reddit co-founder shared an interesting tweet that featured two emojis: the peach and the side-eye glance.
Considering its lack of context, the cryptic message was open to much interpretation by his fans.
Since the peach emoji is basically code for a “peachy” backside, fans immediately assumed that Ohanian was complimenting his wife’s figure.
Followers proceeded to post funny memes in response while others asked him to clarify what he meant, also adding clips of Williams in her most flattering dresses.
Even Emojipedia called him out in the comments. But the 37-year-old dad returned to confirm that he was originally talking about Georgia, one of the top peach-producing states (and also one of the key places where ballots were still being counted).
Still, Ohanian didn’t waste the opportunity to add a flirty comment about his wife’s assets.
He tweeted, “I’m talking about Georgia, but y’all ain’t wrong.” One fan responded, “For a minute there I thought you were looking at your wife [heart emoji].”
Another fan quipped, “What is ‘the day you met Serena’!” Then Ohanian replied, “Wrong answer but still right.”
But that’s not all Ohanian admires about the tennis star. In 2018, he revealed that he also loves her for her “work ethic and focus.”
He told Vanity Fair, “I felt like a door had been opened to a person who made me want to be my best self.
I find myself just wanting to be better by simply being around her because of the standard she holds.”
