Tennis Roger and Mirka Federers Make Big Donation To Vulnerable Swiss Families Published 5 years ago on March 25, 2020 By Naomi Roosevelt Roger Federer and his wife Mirka announced on Wednesday that they have donated one million Swiss Francs (USD $1.02 million) to vulnerable families in Switzerland in the global fight against COVID-19. “These are challenging times for everyone, and nobody should be left behind,” wrote Federer on his Instagram feed. “Mirka and I have personally decided to donate one million Swiss Francs for the most vulnerable families in Switzerland. “Our contribution is just the start. We hope that others might join in supporting more families in need. Together we can overcome this crisis! Stay healthy!” There are more than 8,000 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Switzerland, claiming 66 lives. The ATP and WTA Tours have been suspended until 7 June.
