Golf fans across the world are encouraged by the latest news about Tiger Woods and his comeback from the injuries suffered in his single-car accident earlier this year. Woods, a 15-time major champion, was involved in a serious car accident in Southern California in February. He underwent multiple surgeries and has faced months of grueling rehab.
“This has been an entirely different animal,” Woods said of his rehab process, via Golf Digest. “I understand more of the rehab processes because of my past injuries, but this was more painful than anything I have ever experienced.”
While Woods’ future in golf is unclear, fans received an encouraging update from a close friend this week. “I’ve talked to Tiger a lot,” Steve Stricker told SiriusXM Radio. “He’s a part of this Ryder Cup family; he won’t be able to be a captain’s assistant this time around just because of his ongoing rehabilitation to try to get better and try to play golf again, and that is going well. He’s progressing, he’s doing well, things are moving in the right direction.”
Golf fans are pumped to hear that Woods is planning on playing professional golf again. Hopefully we’ll see him back on the course in 2022.
