Serena Williams is enjoying time off with family in the Bahamas. On Friday the 40-year-old tennis legend shared a new post to Instagram documenting her time on the island. In a three-photo slide the mom-of-one simultaneously showed off her aquatic skills and her pert bottom as she snorkeled with her husband Alexis Ohanian, 38, and their daughter, Alexis Ohanian, Jr., four.
Williams ventured into the underwater world in a long-sleeve, blue swim shirt and floral print bikini bottoms. The athlete proved her prowess extends beyond the tennis court as she swam in a pair of black and blue flippers and a yellow snorkel.
The 23-time Grand Slam winner posed for photos and captured video in the water with her husband and their daughter. The post was simply captioned: ‘Vacation.’ It quickly racked up thousands of likes from the icon’s 13.9 million followers.
Serena’s daughter, her only child, hit the water in a pink surf shirt and matching shorts. The little girl wore a blue life jacket as she enjoyed the beach trip with her parents. Dad Alexis kept a watchful eye as he stayed close to his little one in a blue snorkel and black life jacket of his own.
Serena’s sisters Venus Williams, Isha Price, and Lyndrea Price were also in tow for the Bahaman escape. Serena and Alexis recently marked their fourth wedding anniversary. The tech entrepreneur took to Instagram to pay tribute to his bride earlier this month.
‘4 years ago you made me the happiest man in the world and our little family keeps me feeling more grateful every day. Nov 16 will always be a very special day for our family,’ he wrote under a set of photos of the two. The pair met in Rome in 2015, and by 2016 they were engaged. Later in the day the tennis champ reemerged on the internet to share even more nautical snapshots.
The second time around she switched up her look, and posted four photos without her loved ones. Williams wore a long-sleeve white shirt over a snake print one-piece. Her hair was gathered into a kinky-curly bun at the top of her head as she demonstrated flexibility. In the caption she gave her fans a tip as to how she’s managed to be so agile on the court.
It said: ‘When you ask how did I reach that ball… it’s underwater training :)’ In under an hour the post had more than 200 comments and over 30,000 likes. One support commented, ‘The Greatest,’ while another chimed in to say, ‘Those leggggggggs,’ with a fire emoji. Serena wasn’t the only one active on social media on Friday.
Olympia also appeared on the photo sharing app to post to her 632,000 followers. Posing in a cream chair with a tablet in her lap, the youngster rested her chin in her hand as she flaunted a diamond ring on her pinky.
‘Now you know you shouldn’t have… Finish the sentence,’ it was captioned, encouraging engagement from the tot’s admirers.
Before the family getaway Serena and her sister Venus were busy promoting the new film King Richard, about their dad’s tenacity in raising them to be sports stars. Will Smith starred in the film as their father Richard Williams. The biographical drama was released in theaters and on HBO Max on November 19th.
