Serena Williams showed off her cooking skills while her sister Venus played DJ at New York City’s Cipriani 42nd Street Thursday for Taste of Tennis. Serena wore a red promotional T-shirt for the event, paired with a black skirt.
The 39-year-old tennis pro, who shares a baby daughter named Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. with her husband, Reddit mogul Alexis Ohanian, 38, had her hair pulled back as she was snapped mixing ingredients in a bowl alongside acclaimed chef Cedric Tovar of Lotte New York Palace.
Serena is gearing up for next week’s US Open women’s tennis tournament, which kicks off Monday.
The superstar athlete, who captured the Australian Open last year while she was expecting, is favored to capture the intense competition, according to Las Vegas oddsmakers.

Venus, 39, smiled as she wore a purple zip-up jacket, with her locks slicked back and golden earrings as she stood alongside DJ Mad Linx supplying the music for the event, which is in its 19th year.
The event is a tasting expo featuring some of Gotham’s most celebrated chefs, attended by the high-profile sisters in addition to many noteworthy tennis pros.
They included: Sloane Stephens, Daniela Hantuchova, Darija Jurak, Victoria Azarenka and Ogla Savchuk.

Other notable names on hand included New York Knicks forward Lance Thomas, ice dancers Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje, and Jill Zarin of the Real Housewives of New York City.
Some of the acclaimed chefs on hand, according to organizers, included The Regency Bar & Grill’s Catherine Medrano, Saxon & Parole’s Nicole Gajadhar, Lugo Cucina Italiana’s Paolo Dorigato, The Bridgewater Club’s Ron Duprat, Scarpetta’s Jorge Espinoza and Tavern On The Green’s Bill Peet.
