The 39-year-old tennis champion offered a glimpse of her athletic figure in a semi-sheer black gown which revealed her matching underwear. It was cinched in at the waist with a leather belt and the shimmery material fell in dramatic pleats. The sports superstar completed her ensemble with a pair of pointed silver stilettos and a matching drop earrings.
She styled her long locks in pretty curls and opted for neutral make-up, enhancing her features thanks to a flick of winged eyeliner. Meanwhile, Serena recently spoken out against race and gender inequality in schools, sports and tech in a powerful new essay for WIRED magazine.

She wrote: ‘I’m a black woman, and I am in a sport that wasn’t really meant for black people. I want young people to look at the trailblazers that we have assembled [in this issue] and be inspired.

As for equality movements like Black Lives Matter, Serena had a message: ‘Keep it up. Don’t let those trolls stop you. We’ve been through so much for so many centuries, and we shall overcome this too.’
