Novak Djokovic has rubbished ongoing rumours about his relationship with wife Jelena.
The World No.1 tennis player and his wife always seem to be at the centre of nasty claims they’re getting a divorce, and Djokovic is sick of it.
Jelana hasn’t travelled with Djokovic to the Australian Open for a number of years, and she also sparked nasty rumours when she wasn’t in attendance at the 2019 Wimbledon final despite being in London.
In a recent interview with Blic Online, Djokovic opened up on the speculation about his marriage and slammed the rumours.
“I don’t read or follow the media,” Djokovic said.
“I understand that it is more interesting for people to read Nole and Jelena are getting divorced than Nole and Jelena are in love.
“But that doesn’t affect Jelena and me because we love each other.”
The Serbian star said he and Jelena are stronger than ever.
“Neither Jelena nor I am burdened with such formalities. We both experience our relationship by nurturing it every day, not neglecting what makes our love so strong,” he continued.
“It is important for every relationship that we understand things and that we do not neglect it.
“Business, private, love, family, marriage, I have dedicated everything important to us.”
Novak and Jelena have been married since 2014 and have two children together – Stefan, 5, and Tara, 2.
