Novak Djokovic and Maria Sharapova had a fun, exciting, and a lengthy Instagram live session on Tuesday. The two touched upon various topics about tennis and their ongoing personal life during the COVID-19 pandemic. Djokovic and Sharapova also paid tribute to late Basketball great Kobe Bryant.

 

 
One of the fans asked Maria and Novak about the most inspiring documentary or movie they have watched recently. Subsequently, Djokovic and Sharapova revealed that the Kobe Bryant documentary inspired them a lot.

Terming him as his mentor, Djokovic divulged that Kobe Bryant was always there whenever he needed advice and shared a personal bond with the legend.

“I had that privilege to known Kobe personally in all over the years and have had a relationship with him. He was definitely one of the mentors that I had in life. He was really there for me when I was experiencing an injury and coming back,” Djokovic told Sharapova during their Instagram direct.

“I seek for an advice just from people that have been there that understand what you’re going through and he was truly a special person. So all that was a very profound documentary absolutely,” he added.

Kobe Bryant often took a helicopter to practice and games both to minimize traffic time and maximize his energy. However, Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, along with 7 others died in a helicopter crash in California in January.

It was certainly a heartbreaking accident for the entire world as Kobe was an inspirational figure for millions around the world. Bryant not only inspired people with what he did on the court but also what he did off the court. Everyone should certainly watch his documentary and take inspiration from his life.
