Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge “rarely misses” when it comes to fashion, and has wowed royal watchers over the years with her chic looks.
A Duchess for over a decade, Kate’s style has evolved throughout the years, transitioning from royal girlfriend, to Duchess, to Queen consort in waiting.
Host of Podcast Royal Rachel Burchfield spoke to the hosts of Royally US to discuss Kate’s relationship with fashion and how the arrival of Meghan Markle may have influenced her style.
Discussing Kate’s style, Rachel said: “Her style was solid as she began to have kids.””In 2018, and a lot of people will say this, Meghan was coming into the fold so Kate felt the need to step her game up because Meghan has great style too.
“I think in 2018, right around the birth of Louis it got kicked up a notch, to another level of sophistication.
She added: “I think Kate so rarely misses when it comes to fashion and she’s really figured out how to make fashion work for her.”Host Molly Mulshine added: “Even her 2000s stuff was timeless for that era.
The Duchess has hit headlines recently for her red carpet appearance at the Bond premiere for new film, No Time to Die.
She dazzled the world, wearing a glittering gold embellished Jenny Packham gown fit for a Princess.
The Duchess is often spotted wearing Packham, a British designer, and usually sports the brand’s cocktail dresses for daytime events. She reportedly impressed the film’s star Daniel Craig, who told her, “You look jolly lovely.”
Kate’s iconic looks can be traced back to her official engagement announcement to Prince William, where she stepped out in a dark blue Issa wrap dress.
The occasion marked the debut of the “Kate effect” as the dress quickly sold out everywhere.
