Born in Japan to a Haitian father, the 23-year old tennis player Naomi Osaka resides in America.
A three-time Grand Slam winner and the highest-ranked Asian player, Osaka is one of the best players there. Collaborating with Nike, the World No. 3 is honoring her tri-cultural background in an all-new apparel line.
Dropped a day after the Nike Blazer launch, the collection is on sale from today. The buzz behind Osaka’s exclusive line will help sell out many of its designs.
One can see the chic fanny pack going out of stock. Naomi, who seems stressed about her first apparel-line out, shared a picture of it on Instagram.
The Collection represents the style and culture of Naomi Osaka
With a minimalistic concept, Naomi Osaka’s apparel line came to life, keeping in mind her extended cultural background.
The line’s designs will consist of a new logo which will be her initials; the theme is based on three cultures.
NikeCourt wrote, “Inspired by Naomi’s unique outlook and playful style. Graphics are drawn from her initials and reflect her roots.
Naomi’s signature camo is a one-of-a-kind pattern made by plugging in the coordinates for Japan, Haiti, and the USA.”
Along with her game play, the reigning champion of the US Open carries a strong voice. Because of Osaka’s bold and confident personality, this new apparel has been a hit since its inception.
Already hitting the market heavily, the collection soon will be seen regularly on the streets.
What does Naomi Osaka’s Nike collection include?
The buyers will have options from tennis t-shirts and athletic shorts to the most loved design orange-green camouflaged shirt.
There are also graphical sweatshirts, accessories such as fanny packs, and an orange cap with Naomi’s logo. The collection is now available in the USA and Japan.
Naomi will start her 2021 season at the Australian Open where she won the title back in 2019. Continuing her career under Nike’s sponsorship, one can expect to see a few more campaigns come her way.
However, the very first one blending her culture and her game in a graphical representation stands as a special collection. What do you think about her new apparel collection?
