Andy Murray has opened up on a “tough” year in lockdown after his wife gave birth. Andy Murray, 34, and wife Kim Sears, 33, had their fourth child in March.
However, the tennis star admitted this has come with some “hard” moments over the past year during lockdown. Tennis player Andy opened up about how he’s found the last year in and out of lockdowns “tough”.

He made the admission when asked if he was scared to be returning for this year’s Wimbledon.
Andy explained: “Definitely not scared. Excited. Grateful. “Seeing people back [in the crowds] is great. Because it’s been a tough year.”
The star then admitted how he’s found it difficult being unable to see many of his family members.
While he’s been spending lots of time with brother Jamie Murray when training, he’s barely seen his parents.
This has been especially hard as they’ve struggled to meet the newest addition to their family.
Andy said of his mother, Judy Murray, in the interview with The Times a few weeks ago: “I’ve [only] seen her a couple of times in the past year.”

When asked if she’d met the new baby, he continued: “Last week for the first time.
“My dad hasn’t met her yet. Those are the things that have been hard.”
Andy and Kim have four children together including their new baby.
Their other kids are Sophia, five, Edie, three, and one-year-old Teddy.
Andy has also been opening up about being a father in other interviews as well.
Speaking on a recent edition of This Morning, he admitted his children rank higher than his Wimbledon successes.
He said: “Seeing the kids sitting at the table behaving and eating their food and going to bed at the right time, those sort of things make me proud.”
The former World Number One also admitted his eldest daughter Sophia has been enjoying learning tennis. Speaking about if she’ll follow in his footsteps, he explained: “My eldest daughter plays once a week and if she wanted to I’d be happy.
“But at their ages, it’s important to be doing stuff with their friends.”
Andy is back in action today in the second round of the Wimbledon tournament.
He’ll be facing German player Oscar Otte in hopes of progressing to the next round.
