Add swimsuit designer to tennis superstar Naomi Osaka’s already stacked resume.
The four-time major champion, who was recently named a global ambassador for luxury French label Louis Vuitton, has teamed up with the Los Angeles-based Frankies Bikinis for her first-ever swimwear collection, which will debut online in May.
“I think it’s really important for brands to design for all women, not just certain sizes or shapes or body types,” Osaka, 23, said in a press release. “For me, it’s important to align myself with brands that make inclusivity a priority.”
With the first drop of “Frankies Bikinis x Naomi Osaka” launching Monday, May 10, the collaboration is set to include bikini separates and one-pieces in sizes from XS to XL, with select styles available in up to 2XL.
“Frankies Bikinis holds high standards for inclusivity, which allows everyone to be able to find products that make them feel confident and empowered,” Osaka said of the line, which will be priced from $80 to $190.
“That’s exactly what we aimed to do with this collection.”
Drop one will include “fun, girly prints,” including a “sweet pea” floral and “libra stripe,” along with the signature “Osaka One-Piece.” The head-turning suit boasts a collared polo-style top and a tie at the waist.
The second drop, launching a week later on Wednesday, May 19, will continue to highlight Osaka’s “sporty yet feminine style” with new prints, styles and colors.
Osaka, who is currently dating rapper YBN Cordae, also celebrated the soon-to-be launch Wednesday on Instagram, modeling a bright pink one-piece from the collection along with a matching wig.
