Twenty three-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams remains a pre-eminent force in women’s tennis even at 39.
She successfully juggles career and motherhood, devoting equal amounts of time to both her life’s priorities.
In ensuring that the ‘Slam Queen’ can put similar levels of energy, enthusiasm, interest and focus into her tennis, family and businesses, there is a popular web and mobile application that plays a big part.
In an interview with American business magazine Fast Company, the tennis stalwart has opened up on how much the app helps her plan her schedule, understand her priorities, and successfully handle things that take up most of her time.
“It’s good for me”: Serena on the app
Underlining the importance of the application to her life and career, Serena said, “It’s really good for me, because at the end of the day I can say how much time I spent (on each of her life’s priorities) and how it adds up.”
The American said she often makes adjustments to her schedule on the Toggle app to ensure that she has enough time on her hands to tend to the needs of her three-year-old daughter, Olympia.
She said that whenever she feels like she could do better in terms of spending more time with her daughter, she tweaks her day’s plans to make sure she is around her child more often than not.
“Want percentage with my daughter to be a lot”: Serena Williams
The app helps a user break down his/her assignments and work during the day into percentages, and Serena said that she wants to ensure that there’s enough percentage for her daughter.
“I want my percentage with my daughter to be a lot,” the American said.
On the career front, Serena’s quest for a 24th Grand Slam title continues as she ended the 2020 season without trophies either on the women’s Tour or at Majors.
She went out in the third round of the Australian Open, going down in three sets to Chinese star Wang Qiang.
Serena made the last-four of the US Open but lost to Belarussian tennis star Victoria Azarenka.
